Thoughts from the FaceBook Page… Feb 03 2019.

This weeks thought is based around some ways to beat anxiety or stress.

There are many ways you can help yourself through a stressful time in your life…

You can use St Johns Wort that, according to research, increases the activity of brain chemicals such as serotonin and noradrenaline that are thought to play an important part in regulating our mood.

Or you could go down the route of Cannabidiol, or CBD, which is one of the cannabinoids naturally found in Cannabis Sativa L. CBD has no psychoactive properties, is completely legal, and when isolated, can have a multitude of benefits including helping with anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease.

I have tried both of these and I can say that CBD oil, which I still occasionally use, is my preferred anti-anxiety go to supplement.

However, both CBD oil and St Johns wort can be quite expensive, for good quality, especially CBD.

So what can you do to help your anxiety or depression without taking out a second mortgage?

Meditation!

Meditation has been shown to be beneficial for all sorts of mood disordered and regular practice helps with stress too.

For a good place to start, I would recommend an app like headspace (not an affiliate):

It’s free and a great way to learn guided meditation without an upfront fee.
